Key Responsibilities
- Stock Organization: Keep the warehouse neat, organized, and efficient for easy storage and access.
- Loading & Unloading: Safely handle goods during deliveries and dispatch.
- Order Picking & Packing: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders on time.
- Inventory Management: Support stock control through accurate records and regular counts.
- Receiving & Inspection: Check incoming shipments, report errors or damages.
- Quality Control: Ensure all products meet company standards before dispatch.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow health and safety rules and maintain a clean work environment.
- Reporting: Flag damaged items, shortages, or operational issues to supervisors.
- Teamwork: Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Process Improvement: Suggest ways to improve efficiency and workflow.
- Documentation: Keep records of goods received, dispatched, and stock levels.
- Equipment Use: Safely operate warehouse tools and machinery (forklifts/pallet jacks).
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Matric / high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous warehouse or similar role an advantage
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift, move heavy stock, and stand for long hours.
- Team Player: Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in handling stock and completing tasks.
- Safety Awareness: Commitment to a safe and compliant work environment.
- Adaptability: Able to work under pressure and adjust to changing priorities.
- Reliability: Punctual and consistent attendance.
- Basic Tech Skills: Knowledge of inventory systems or MS Office is beneficial.
