Purpose of the Position: UCT Campus Cleaners X43
To provide cleaning services that ensure a hygienic and environmentally clean university, conducive to teaching, learning, and research.

Key Responsibilities: UCT Campus Cleaners X43
- Daily Cleaning Duties: Perform routine cleaning tasks according to standard specifications and supervisor assignments.
- Deep Cleaning: Carry out thorough cleaning of all areas as needed.
- Cost Control: Use cleaning supplies and time efficiently to minimize waste.
- Supply Management: Ensure cleaning supplies are adequately stocked to avoid work disruptions.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition and store it safely.
- Waste Management: Follow established waste management procedures.
- Event Setup: Assist in preparing venues for graduation ceremonies, departmental meetings, exams, and class tests.
- Safety: Identify and address safety hazards, manage workplace injuries.
- Lost Property Management: Report and handle inquiries about lost property from staff, students, and visitors.
Required Qualifications and Skills: UCT Campus Cleaners X43
- Education: Grade 10
- Experience: 1 year of relevant cleaning experience
- Skills: Effective communication, teamwork, knowledge of cleaning products and equipment
