South African Police Service Graduate Recruitment Scheme – All Provinces

The South African Police Service (SAPS) invites applications from unemployed graduates for its 12-month Graduate Recruitment Scheme in All Provinces. This initiative aligns with the National Human Resource Development Strategy and the National Skills Development Strategy, offering graduates a chance to gain valuable work experience within the SAPS environment.

 

  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Must possess a National Senior Certificate or equivalent (NCV L4).
  • Must have no prior criminal convictions or pending cases.
  • Applicants should be unemployed, have never been employed in the field of the advertised post, nor participated in any internship programmer relevant to this field.
  • Must reside in the Gauteng Province where the post is advertised.
  • Limit applications to three (3) different posts, with a separate application form completed for each.

 

The successful candidates will assist in:

  • Providing legal assistance, preparing legal documents, and correspondence.
  • Conducting factual investigations for cases.
  • Assisting with legal research.
  • Accompanying legal officers during consultations.
  • General office administration and file management.

 

  • Only the official SAPS Application Form for the Graduate Recruitment Scheme (available on the SAPS website) will be accepted.
  • Complete the application form according to instructions.
  • Clearly specify the post particulars and reference number on the Application Form.
  • Submit an updated Curriculum Vitae along with the application form.
  • Attach uncertified copies of the ID document, National Senior Certificate, and all post-school qualifications with the statement of results to the application.

Selection Process:

  • All short-listed candidates will undergo fingerprint screening and a personal interview.
  • Short-listed candidates may be subjected to vetting.
  • Communication will only be with successful candidates. If no contact has been made within 3 months after the closing date, consider the application unsuccessful.
  • There is no obligation for SAPS to fill the post after advertisement.

Additional Information: SAPS Intern 2025

  • Successful candidates will be required to sign a 12-month Internship Contract.
  • Participation in the Graduate Recruitment Scheme does not guarantee permanent employment with the SAPS after completion of the internship.
