Requirements: DWS Security Officer 2024

• Education: Senior/Grade 12 certificate
• Certifications:
  • Valid Grade C PSIRA certification
  • Valid Firearm Competency certification (Rifle, Shotgun, and Pistol)
  • National Key Point (NKP) training
  • Valid, unexpired driver’s license
• Experience: 1 to 3 years in the security industry
• Skills:
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office
  • Knowledge of prescribed security legislation (e.g., MISS, Protection of Information Act)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Understanding of security code of conduct

Duties: DWS Security Officer 2024

• Perform NKP access control functions
• Ensure the security and safety of the building and premises
• Prevent unauthorized removal of equipment, documents, and stores from the premises
• Record all incidents in occurrence books/registers
• Patrol and safeguard the National Key Point
• Arrest transgressors at the National Key Point
