Life Healthcare Registered Nurse X7 – Theatre Qualified at Life Eugene Marais Hospital, reporting to the Theatre Manager. We seek an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse with a strong background in theatre nursing. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the perioperative setting, maximizing positive outcomes in line with Company and Hospital strategic objectives.

Critical Outputs: Life Healthcare Registered Nurse X7
Financial Management:
- Ensure accurate charging by managing theatre clocking time.
- Ensure consignment stock, equipment, and prostheses are charged according to policy.
- Manage stock by participating in regular stock taking and controlling consignment stock per hospital policy.
Theatre Equipment and Instrumentation:
- Ensure the correct use of theatre equipment and instrumentation by educating and supervising staff.
Quality Patient Care:
- Obtain correct pre-operative information and visit the patient post-operatively.
- Ensure patient comfort and assist the doctor during the surgical procedure.
People Management:
- Provide theatre-specific training and assess staff competence.
- Assist the Unit Manager in monitoring normal and overtime hours.
- Ensure the theatre team works within the scope of practice.
- Provide feedback to the unit manager to assess optimal performance.
SHEQ Management:
- Ensure the use of personal protective clothing and comply with ISO requirements.
- Dispose of medical waste to effectively control infection.
Stakeholder Relationships:
- Attend review and consultative meetings to maintain healthy relationships with internal stakeholders.
Requirements: Life Healthcare Registered Nurse X7
- Grade 12 National Senior Certificate.
- General Nursing Degree/Diploma.
- Registration with SANC.
- Relevant experience in General Theatre.
- Understanding of the private healthcare industry and its challenges is advantageous.
