Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate will serve as a recommendation.
Must have reliable transport.
Must be hardworking, honest and self-motivated.
Must be able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Located in the Lichtenburg area will be to your advantageous.
Good communication skills.
Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, public holidays and various shifts.
Willing to work in dusty, noisy, cold and wet areas.
Willing to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects.
Duties and Responsibilities
Performing tasks as given by the Manager.
Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers.
Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
Ensure a safe working environment.
To assist in other areas as required.
Ensure compliance with health and safety and company policies.
A security officer must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation.
The goal is to help the company in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping facilities safe and problem-free.
The vacant position is in and around the Johannesburg/Pretoria areas.
Responsibilities
Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence.
Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property.
Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area.
Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations.
Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts.
Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions.
Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation.
Provide assistance to people in need.
Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities.
Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences.
Minimum requirements
Grade A – PSIRA registered and up to date.
Highest School qualification – Grade 12.
Excellent communication skills in English – verbal and written.
At least 1 year experience in corporate guarding.
Knowledge and understanding of the search procedure.
At least 2 years’ experience in the private security sector.
No criminal record.
Must be able stand for long hours.
Must be neat and presentable.
Good people skills.
